The Association of Lithuanian Serials

This is a major event for Lithuanian scientific journals. At present, 29 Lithuanian journals are indexed in the prestigious ISI WOS databases, though not all of them have yet gained citation indexes.

Only three Lithuanian journals were included in the 2008 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) database. As can be seen in Table below, in 2009 the number increased impressively to 18 journals.

We are sorry to say that today, i.e. on the 18^th of June, we can present citation and other indexes received from official sources concerning Lithuanian journals only in FTB fields of research.

Still no one of Lithuanian institutions has access to Social Science Index Expanded database where citation indexes of journals in humanities and social sciences are presented. Information about the two Lithuanian journals in these research fields (two last lines in the Table) was sent to us by colleagues working in foreign universities.
