The conference “Scientometrics Tools: What Do We Know About Them and How Do We Use Them?” organized by The Association of Lithuanian Serials and The Lithuanian Research Library Consortium on 29 April (Friday).
You must have heard about rankings of universities and you know that the evaluation of institutions is carried out in accordance with complex formulas which depend on the indicators of your publications. You must have come across the fact that h-index has become well-known among researchers. At the conference, you will find out more about methods, indicators, tools of research metrics and their practical usage in day-to-day researcher activities.

The purpose of the international conference was to introduce global tendencies to publishing research journals, including electronic publishing as well as to disclose practical information about open access publishing (the use of OJS, offering OA journal for DOAJ, finding information about OA resources) to Lithuanian publishers of research journals (senior editors, secretaries general, representatives of the interested institutions, librarians etc.).
