The most recent innovations in the field of publishing research journals was revised by Rod Cookson who is the Editorial Director of Taylor & Francis, one of the oldest and largest academic publishers worldwide. Taylor & Francis released its first research journal The Philosophical Magazine in 1798 and now accounts for more than 1500 research journals that have gained an excellent reputation among the global academic community. Taylor & Francis also takes over the leadership of academic publishing and application of the latest technologies, including the dissemination of research publications. Rod Cookson presented the results of the survey that involved researchers from the Baltic countries and was conducted by Taylor & Francis as well as summarized the findings of research in Lithuania.
The publishers of research journals in Lithuania were provided a great possibility of having closer look at the most recent tendencies to journal publishing. The new ideas will contribute to putting them into practise. The majority of concepts can be easily implemented as they have been frequently tested by worldwide practise and therefore clearly presented in the course of the event. All wishing to establish direct links with Taylor & Francis were offered a real possibility which would help in further communication with no moderators in the future.
